Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Review (2026): A Great Hotel Card for the $95 Fee

3 Free Night Awards, up to $100 in airline credits and a free night every year — why the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless is one of the best values for a $95 annual fee.

Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Review (2026): A Great Hotel Card for the $95 Fee

Plenty of hotel cards charge $250, $450, even $650 a year. The Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card from Chase charges $95, and for couples planning a honeymoon it can easily give back far more than that. Here's what the card offers right now, based on Chase's own card page, and why we think it's one of the best values for a $95 annual fee.

The current welcome offer: 3 Free Night Awards

Right now, Chase is offering 3 Free Night Awards after you spend $3,000 on eligible purchases within 3 months of opening the account. Each award covers one night at a hotel with a redemption level up to 50,000 points per night.

That's three honeymoon nights at a nice Marriott property, earned on money you were already going to spend on the wedding: the cake deposit, the florist, the rehearsal dinner. A few things to know from Chase's offer details:

  • Each Free Night Award expires 12 months after it's issued, so plan your trip within a year.

  • You can add Marriott Bonvoy points to an award to book a hotel that costs more than 50,000 points a night.

  • You still pay any resort fees and extras like parking.

  • Allow up to 8 weeks after you meet the spending for the awards to show up in your Marriott account.

Up to $100 in airline credits

Chase is also running a special offer through June 30, 2027 for new cardmembers: spend $250 directly with airlines between June 4 and Dec. 31, 2026 and get a $50 statement credit, then spend another $250 between Jan. 1 and June 30, 2027 for a second $50 credit. That's up to $100 back on the flights you're booking anyway.

Do the math: those two credits alone are worth more than the $95 annual fee.

A free night every year you keep it

After each account anniversary, you get a Free Night Award good at a hotel with a redemption level up to 35,000 points. Many Marriott hotels at that level go for well over $95 a night in cash, so this one benefit can cover the fee by itself. Think of it as an annual anniversary night, which feels especially fitting for newlyweds.

How you earn points

  • 6X points per $1 at more than 7,000 hotels in Marriott Bonvoy.

  • Up to 17X total points at Marriott hotels when you add the up to 10X you earn as a Bonvoy member and up to 1X from Silver Elite status.

  • 3X points per $1 on the first $6,000 a year spent on groceries, gas and dining combined.

  • 2X points per $1 on everything else.

  • Points don't expire as long as you use the card at least once every 24 months.

Elite status perks

  • Automatic Silver Elite status every calendar year.

  • 15 Elite Night Credits each year toward higher Marriott status.

  • 1 more Elite Night Credit for every $5,000 you spend.

  • A path to Gold Elite status when you spend $35,000 on purchases in a calendar year.

If you're putting big wedding bills on the card, those Elite Night Credits add up faster than you'd think.

Why it's a great card for the $95 fee

Here's the simple version of the value for year one:

  • 3 Free Night Awards for honeymoon nights.

  • Up to $100 in airline credits under the current offer.

  • Silver Elite status and 15 Elite Night Credits.

  • Solid everyday earning on groceries, gas and dining.

And every year after that, the anniversary Free Night Award alone can be worth more than the $95 you pay. That's why we consider the Boundless one of the easiest hotel cards to keep for the long run, not just for the welcome offer.

Using it as a couple

This card works best with our Player 1 & Player 2 strategy if each of you qualifies for your own card. Two cards means two sets of Free Night Awards, and potentially six free honeymoon nights. Put the venue deposit on one card and the photographer on the other to hit both $3,000 spending targets. Just never spend more than you'd spend anyway, and pay the bill in full every month.

Who can't get the card

Chase's terms say you can't get the Boundless if you currently have certain Chase Marriott cards, or got a new cardmember bonus on one of them in the last 24 months. There are also rules if you recently had or opened certain Amex Marriott cards. Check the full offer details on Chase's site before you apply.

Is it worth it?

If you'll stay at Marriott hotels even once a year, yes. For a $95 annual fee, you get honeymoon nights up front, a free night every year after, and status perks that make each stay a little nicer. Offers change over time, so check the latest details on our Marriott Bonvoy Boundless card page before you apply.
